Shameless Plug
I’m Pablo P. V., a creative copywriter and passionate educator with a unique global perspective. Over the past decade, I’ve combined my love for language and writing to create engaging experiences around the world. As a multilingual professional (native Spanish and English, Portuguese B2), I am uniquely prepared to cater to your global audience. With an M.Ed. in Literacy, Linguistics, and Literature, and 16,000+ hours of classroom teaching across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, I understand how to connect with people from basically everywhere. In other words, I bring creativity, cultural sensitivity, and a friendly voice to every project.
Background
My career began in Bolivia, where I started as a junior designer and sales executive, building up skills in multimedia design and business communication. That foundation led me abroad (but not in the way you may be thinking). For six years I taught English and eventually developed curriculum at iTutorGroup, one of the world’s first online education companies. There, I learned how to design engaging lessons for various proficiency levels and personal inetrests; skills that later became invaluable as a writer.
After moving on to other endeavors in other countries, I worked simultaneously as an educator and copywriter. At iTalki, I taught Spanish; at eTeacherGroup I taught English and wrote content for marketing campaigns. I gotta say, they were smart to hire a teacher to be a writer, and I do appreciate them taking a chance on me. In early 2023, I joined the Jellyfish as a copywriter, where I still get work sporadically. My best work there, if I do say so myself, was a series or blog articles for Deezer. I absolutely loved doing that!
Today, I consider myself a sort of feedback specialist. As a tutor, I get academic papers and I provide my insights so that students can perfect them. As a copyeditor, I get all sorts of text and do the same for them!
In education, I’ve collaborated with Preply and Highway to English, and at IIBS I created email campaigns and site content. Each role has built my marketing and copywriting expertise, for sure. By now, I feel like I've mastered the art of figuring out the right tone and voice for each audience. I’m proud to bring academic excellence and creativity together: my background in multimedia design and education means I understand both the visual and instructional aspects of content.
Highlights
Here are some examples of my writing projects :
-
Jellyfish – I wrote numerous articles for Deezer’s blog during 2023, covering music and culture. I can't post direct links here, but I'll be happy to show you my work if you reach out directly. These projects demonstrate my ability to write in a lively, conversational style for online audiences.
-
IIBS – I helped write marketing and website copy in a transition from teaching to writing. My work included email campaigns on student retention and awareness, and updating site content. Sample pieces include “What is the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies?” and “Become a Bible Expert” (which highlight the company's programs), and educational content like “Discovering the Hebrew Bible”. These pieces required explaining educational programs clearly and inspiring students, blending marketing messages with my background in linguistics and literature.
-
Highway to English – I wrote about courses and teachers for this online language school. For instance, the site’s “About Highway to English” section and the homepage “Real Teachers. Real Results.”. I also crafted profile content like “Meet Teacher Tracy”. These projects showcase my skill in marketing education: I write in a friendly, informative tone that puts student success stories and qualified teachers' profiles in the spotlight.
-
iTutorGroup – As a curriculum developer, I designed English-learning materials (sadly now lost since the company restructured). This early experience taught me how to research topics thoroughly and present educational content in accessible and well-targeted ways; skills I still use when writing complex topics or editing technical content.

Education & Skills
I hold a M.Ed. in Literacy, Linguistics, and Literature, building up from a B.Ed. cum laude in Language Education with a Minor in Online Learning. Earlier, I earned an Associate’s in Multimedia Design, by the way. I’m also certified in TEFL, TEYL, ELE, and as a Business English Specialist. Not to toot my own horn (okay, maybe a little), but these credentials certainly back up my expertise in all things writing.
Beyond academia, I have practical skills vital for marketing and consulting: I’m experienced with B2B and B2C campaigns, SEO optimization, content strategy, and cross-field collaboration. I know how to adjust tone, style, and voice to match different audiences. My broad cultural awareness, fruit of working across five continents, gives me sensitivity to global perspectives; critical when creating content for international companies and diverse classrooms alike.
